He’s the high school teacher taking maths to the masses.
Eddie Woo’s book got the country’s brains working – and his approach to classroom calculus has racked up 36 million views on his WooTube channel.

But maths wasn’t always Eddie’s favourite subject.
“When I arrived at university, it was the first time I discovered we don’t have enough mathematics teachers in NSW, or indeed across Australia,” Woo said.
“I love English and History still, but I thought, here’s where the need is – maybe I should contribute to where there is this desperate need.”
Despite his online celebrity status, Eddie says his students keep him grounded.
“One of the wonderful things about working with teenagers and adolescents is they have a great way of keeping you grounded,” Woo said.
“I’m just Mr Woo to them – the regular teacher they always have.”
