The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared to conduct two separate examinations for mathematics in Class 10 Board Examinations 2020.

Important points to remember:

Candidates who choose basic mathematics will not be able to take up mathematics in class 11.

They must keep in mind that they can only appear for the paper they have opted for while registering for CBSE Class 10 board examination which will be held in 2020.

If a student scores well in basic mathematics examination and chooses to pursue mathematics in class 11, he or she will have to appear for class 10 compartmental examinations to be held in 2020.

However, the board has not changed the syllabus for basic and standard mathematics papers while the difficulty level for both the exams will vary.
CBSE’s latest circular:

CBSE has issued a circular to the heads of the schools, stating that students should mandatorily produce death certificates in case of the loss of their parents.

Apart from this, students will now be required to produce medical certificates in case of long leaves.
Moreover, CBSE has reportedly started the preparations for the commencing board examinations for class 10 and 12. If sources are to be believed then the board has already set a basic date sheet for the CBSE 10 and 12 board exams 2020. The main exam is expected to be conducted on February 15, 2020.

Moreover, the Delhi Court has asked the board to undertake the process of revaluation of June 2018 examination for class 10th and 12. Therefore, in 2019, vocational examinations were started from February 15 to avoid any delay. However, in 2020, the practical examinations are anticipated to begin by December, the datesheets would be released by the end of November.
